Argon Jets into Large Liquid Steel Ladles (2007-2009)

Folad Mobarake (Mobarake Steel Co.) (2007-2009)

Dr Sedaghat, Dr Pishevar, and Dr Saghafian were engaged with the industrial project for simulation and improvement of Argon jets into large liquid steel ladles (40 tons) with Folad Mobarake Steel Co.  Argon bubbles are blown in liquid steel inside large ladles for maintaining a homogeneous mixture, uniform temperature, and for reducing impurities in the process of steel making. The project commenced in 2007 and completed in 2009 using CFD simulations.
