Design and Manufacturing a Helical VAWT (2011-2013)

Dr Sedaghat, Dr Shirani, and Dr Ziyaie were engaged an industrial project with value of more than 150 million tomans for design and manufaturing a helical Vertical Axis Wind Turbine of 7.5 kW. The team of project were involved in the design, simulations, manufacturing and testing a small type wind turbine (helical three bladed VAWT) with the rated power of 7.5 kW. The work was commenced in 2011 and expected to be completed by the end of 2013. The power industry is very keen to commercial the product of this wind turbine if all criteria of energy production and cost reduction is fulfilled.
