Turab Turbo Student Team

The Turab Turbo student team was established in 2006 under supervision of Dr sedaghat and the team captain Mr Mehranfar. The team have aimed to design and manufacture a hydro turbine called Gorlov or DNA shaped turbine that can be working efficiently in low speed river flows. The group has made and tested a model of Turab at IUT national hydraulics laboratory (PDF). A paper published by group is here. The group was also worked on several projects including: a new drive concept for boats and ships (NCP5); Jet Sprit fast boats; and a vertical axis wind turbine (Turab Wind Turbine).
